And This? This, Children, is Rain.

Rain! After sweating through Austin's hottest summer on record and the end (we hope) of a three-year drought, we are feeling positively giddy.

Harvey couldn't wait to get outside and use the umbrella Gi and Pop gave him this spring. For a couple months after the umbrella joined our family we took it everywhere, as Harvey will not abide being umbrella-less in a rainstorm. The poor kid eventually gave up on the wet stuff and his sad, lonely umbrella was propped in a corner of the garage.

We played outside this morning until the thunder started, which conveniently coincided with Harvey declaring  he was thoroughly and satisfactorily soaked. Now both boys are napping to the sounds of  steady rain and far away thunder. It's a good, good day.
